Possible utopias and new urban natures
Grupo Aranea approaches large-scale development as a regenerative strategy for the territory in the medium and long term.
Although the ultimate goal is always to create friendlier places to live, work or enjoy, the strategy to achieve it varies according to the scale of intervention.
On a small scale, attention to detail, meticulous design, and a deep understanding of both the site and the end user's needs are the true driving forces of the project. However, when faced with a territorial scale, the elements become more utopian and assertive, without ever sacrificing their viability.
In this area, one of the main objectives is to pave the way for a more inclusive, fair, and sustainable future. To achieve this, a good dose of hope and utopian vision is essential.
It is about momentarily abstracting oneself from administrative, economic and situational obstacles, proposing from ambition and then specifying step by step, working together with the agents involved, in order to draw up a roadmap that makes it possible to achieve the established objectives in the short, medium and long term.
The Master Plan for Seoul, the Green and Biodiversity Plan of Valencia, the Master Plan for the Braided Valley in Elche and the Coastal Corridor of Alicante are some examples of this working methodology.
